Amy Nofziger is the Senior Director of Fraud Victim Support for the AARP Fraud Watch Network, where she leads efforts to help individuals prevent, recognize, and respond to fraud. With more than two decades of experience in fraud prevention and victim support, she oversees a team of fraud specialists along with more than 150 trained volunteers who staff the AARP Fraud Watch Network Helpline, a nationwide toll-free resource where anyone can report scam concerns and seek fraud prevention guidance. Under her leadership, the helpline responds to more than 100,000 calls each year from scam victims and people looking for trusted information and support.
Amy is widely recognized as a leading voice in the fight against fraud and has been featured in major media outlets including The New York Times, The Today Show, CBS Evening News, Live with Kelly and Mark, The Wall Street Journal, and Good Morning America. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology/sociology and a master’s degree with a specialization in leadership.
She is also a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), a highly respected credential awarded by the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. The designation reflects advanced expertise in fraud prevention, investigation, financial transactions, and law, and is widely regarded as the gold standard in the anti-fraud profession.
